About this Artwork
Bobby Unser’s #3 Rislone Eagle was inspired by Bobby Unser’s first Indianapolis 500 win in 1968 driving this car.
Eagle 68 402, was sold new to the Leader Card team and prepared by Jud Phillips and Tom ‘Red’ Herrmann for Bobby Unser to race in 1968 as the #3 Rislone entry. He won the Indy 500, but just two weeks later “wiped out” his 500 winner in an accident on only the third lap at Mosport Park, Ontario, Canada. Mosport Park is where Bobby had won his first IndyCar win the year before, in 1967 at the Telegram Trophy 200.
