Fellow Artists

The motorsports world has been captured and retold by photographers, writers and artists throughout its history.

It’s sheer joy to be part of this expression of life and motorsports in particular.  Below are a few of my friends who are well accomplished artists in their own. Please visit their websites: you’ll find their artistic expressions quite enjoyable.

Arthur Benjamins
Arthur Benjamins

Arthur Benjamins, a dear friend and inspriration, is a Dutch artist who has progressed from figurative motorsport paintings to Abstract Iconography, taking on the revival of Neoplasticism.

Bill Patterson

Well-known for his vibrant, kinetic depictions of motorsport racing scenes, Patterson is the official artist at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and has done numerous commissions for the likes of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, David Letterman, and the Indy Grand Prix.

Alex Wakefield

Ever since he was a kid, artist Alex Wakefield has, like many of us, been interested in racing: the machines, the electric excitement before a race, and the stories that unfold during competition. His work features both cars and motorcycles, plucked from some of the most pivotal moments in history.

Mark E. Lewis

Mark Lewis spent 14 years as the Public Relations Representative and Special Events Coordinator at the Daytona International Speedway. Today he is an educator at a private school in Daytona Beach Florida and an automotive fine artist. His favorite subjects to paint are race cars and racing scenes. His art represents sports car racing at the highest professional level from Formula 1, Moto GP, historic racing cars and endurance racing where his unique style represents speed, color, light, and motion.
