This poster reproduction of the “Parnelli’s 1972 Vel’s Samsonite Special” 30″x40″ Son of Indy Acrylic on Canvas original, is available at a special discount prior to the 2018 Vintage Indycar Registry event at this year’s Indycar weekend at Gateway Raceway.
This painting features the Parnelli Jones’ 1972 Vel’s Samsonite Special. Driven by Joe Leonard, the original dyhedral wings, part of the early years of racing’s aerodynamic discovery, were removed having not provided what was hoped.
A portion of proceeds from each poster goes to Variety the Children’s Charity of St Louis. This organization has been providing kids with special needs vital medical equipment, therapies, and programs for over 80 years, and is a wonderful cause.
